A Big Brick Box

What you have here is a big brick box under construction next to a small brick box, this is what has become of architecture in Saratoga Springs.

I'm pretty sure this is the result of design-by-committee, what you get when you have a bunch of people who know fuck-all about design, making decisions on aesthetics in some misguided attempt to preserve Saratoga's Victorian charm. What?

So now, every new building amounts to a giant, featureless, brick box, devoid of any character or similarity to anything "charming."

iPhone

Here's an iPhone pic of Bella using Daniel's iPod Touch, which keeps her occupied in restaurants. And that's a good thing.

It's really amazing how intuitive the Apple interface is, that a two year old can flip through applications, play games, change to color and paint apps, switch back to games, wield a lightsaber... Now there's a scary thing, watching a two year swing your iphone around to hear the cool lightsaber sounds. Yikes, I changed my mind and had to cut that short!

Tea, Beer, Samosa and Hummus

because beer goes best with the hummus and samosa dishes. Notice the mango chutney and raita on the samosa dish - deelish. The olives, onions and hummus on the pita wedges were devilishly-deelish too.

Just starting lunch at Juanita's in Boulder, CO. So far, my favorite place to eat when in Boulder. Simple, no-frills and good food, my kind of place.

Chips

Playing with my new iPhone at Ravenous the other night, and totally digging the camera. Yum, French fries, horseradish dipping sauce and a nice Shiraz. Sooo Good.
