It's too bad you didn't like the movie, I really liked the new/old crew. I thought the action was exciting, and loved seeing Leonard Nimoy again as Spock. He'll always be the best part of Star Trek.
What I didn't like was the representation of the technology, for a prequel, as being far more advanced than anything we've seen so far. I thought the TV series Enterprise did a better job of making the technology seem more "retro" and clunky.
