Just because the weather in Togaville has turned dark and dreary, and raining, here's another Denver Zoo pic from our recent trip to Colorado. This Sea Lion looks so relaxed, nice.

A Big Brick Box

What you have here is a big brick box under construction next to a small brick box, this is what has become of architecture in Saratoga Springs.

I'm pretty sure this is the result of design-by-committee, what you get when you have a bunch of people who know fuck-all about design, making decisions on aesthetics in some misguided attempt to preserve Saratoga's Victorian charm. What?

So now, every new building amounts to a giant, featureless, brick box, devoid of any character or similarity to anything "charming."

because beer goes best with the hummus and samosa dishes. Notice the mango chutney and raita on the samosa dish - deelish. The olives, onions and hummus on the pita wedges were devilishly-deelish too.
